MIDAS WTR Wave & Tide Recorder
MIDAS WTR Wave & Tide Recorder
The MIDAS WTR replaces the popular Model 730W wave recorder, and is one of the most sophisticated pressure based wave recorders available. Powerful onboard data processing uses Linear Wave Theory to give a real time output of wave height and period, together with full spectral analysis. The intuitive setup software allows complex regimes of up to 4096 data points to be analysed, at frequencies up to 8Hz. Quick change battery carousel, USB data upload, large memory, and high accuracy sensors complete the package.

MIDAS DWR Directional Wave Recorder
MIDAS DWR Directional Wave Recorder
The MIDAS DWR Directional Wave Recorder replaces the old Model 730D instrument, and represents a significant advance in PUV wave recording technology. As well as the standard non-directional data available from the MIDAS WTR, the MIDAS DWR also performs full onboard directional data analysis, allowing real time directional information at an unsurpassed 2° resolution. The unique features of the MIDAS DWR make it the most cost-effective solution to directional wave monitoring requirements in all shallow water coastal applications.

Model 750 Data Telemetry Buoy
Model 750 Data Telemetry Buoy
The Model 750 Telemetry Buoy is the ideal accessory for Valeport's Wave Recorders, and other Valeport instrumentation, with its fully bi-directional UHF link between instrument and PC. The buoy is of classic spar design, with a rigid floatation unit. All electronics and battery are held in a submerged stainless steel pod, which also has a connector for communications with the instrument, and mounting points for a strain cable. With an omnidirectional antenna and selectable frequency within the 458.5 - 458.9MHz band, data transmission of up to 20km can be acheived (with clear line of sight). The receiver unit, supplied with a 3dB antenna, plugs directly into the user's PC and communications are established using Valeport's standard Windows based software packages. GSM and VHF versions are also available.
