All over Facebook you could see people advertising their own events, which warranted a ‘thank you’ to all those that hosted from Macmillan in local papers across the UK. It created a real sense of community – working for a good cause that touches the lives of many. Valeport held its Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning event at its offices in Totnes, Devon. Lots of cake varieties were baked and consumed with vigour and the coffee was hot and strong. A little baking competition on the side brought some fun to the proceedings which saw first prize being shared between Tammy Elliott and Sam Brightman. A noticeable second place was awarded to novice baker, Kevin Edwards, who submitted his first ever competitive carrot cake. Thank you to all those involved from the Valeport team who raised £191.00 for Macmillan's. Click here if you would like to donate to Macmillan.
