SWiFT upgrade available

The latest SWiFT firmware E4 used in combination with Teledyne Valeport Ocean version 1.2.3.5 (both now available from Valeport Downloads) provides some much-requested functionality

New ELViS Mode

The SWiFT instruments now support combined down and upcast profiles with the new ELViS (Elevation Limited Vertical Sampling) mode. Similar to Smart Profile mode, ELViS starts logging at a set trigger depth, continues to the bottom, and logs back up, closing the file upon returning to the trigger depth.

New Fast Continuous Mode

This mode mirrors the existing continuous mode, starting logging immediately without pressure/depth triggers. The ‘fast version’ enhances data speed and resolution up to 16 Hz.

Enhanced Smart Winch Functionality

A software upgrade that allows ‘joggle’ adjustments for precise instrument line positioning during data offload.

These firmware and software upgrades are available for use on all Valeport SWiFT versions immediately. Please be aware that If your SWiFT firmware is below version E2, then update to E2 first before updating to the latest version.
