Local college student, Charlotte Law, has joined the Valeport marketing department for a summer work placement.
Charlotte, who will enter her final year of A Levels in September, will be helping the marketing team with a variety of tasks including researching, developing and writing news articles and supporting the in-house videographer to develop new videos for the Valeport website and social channels.
As a Media, Politics, English and Maths student, seventeen year-old Charlotte particularly enjoys learning about photography and media and was thrilled to get work experience with Valeport.
“I was very happy to get the work placement and feel lucky to have the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes of this high-tech, innovative company. It’s such a welcoming environment and I’m excited to see how some of the theory from my A level subjects is put into practice in a real marketing department,” commented Charlotte.
Valeport has a strong track record in helping to open up new opportunities for local students and supporting STEM projects in local schools.
Guy Frankland, Valeport Head of Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to have Charlotte come on board with us. We’re pleased to provide an opportunity for her to gain experience that will help her take steps towards her career goal. We have a busy summer ahead of us and we look forward to Charlotte being part of our team.”
